This policy explains how Snowy360 (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Snowy360 iPhone app and snowy360.com. Snowy360 helps you find resort information, save maps, track or import snow-sport sessions, and share selected location and session information with your group.

Information we use

• Account information. When you sign in, we receive identifiers and profile information provided by your sign-in provider, such as an account ID and, where available, your name or email address. Anonymous app sessions may also use a randomly assigned identifier.
• Location and activity. If you enable location features, the app uses your device location to show nearby resort information and, when you start a recording or use group features, to calculate and share relevant position, route, and activity details. Background location may be used while an active recording or location-sharing feature is running. You can change location permissions in iPhone Settings or stop the feature in the app.
• Health and imported workout data. If you grant permission, Snowy360 can read eligible ski or snowboard workouts and related route data from Apple Health to display an imported session. The app may also write workout information back to Apple Health when you choose that feature. Health data is processed for these app features and is not used for advertising. You can change Health permissions in iPhone Settings.
• Files and session details. A GPX file you choose to import can include route coordinates, elevation, and timestamps. We use this information to create and display your session. You control which file you select.
• Groups and content you provide. If you use groups, check-ins, invites, or shared sessions, we process the names, group details, invite information, and location or activity information needed to provide those features to the people you choose.
• Device and notification information. If you enable notifications, we process a device push token and notification preferences to deliver alerts. The website and app services may also receive standard technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve app features, authenticate users, sync sessions and group activity, deliver requested alerts, maintain service security, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use Health data for advertising.

Service providers and sharing

Snowy360 uses Google services to operate the website and app, and an email delivery provider to send support requests to us. These providers process information on our behalf to provide their services. We share information with other users only when you use a feature that shares it, such as group location, check-ins, or shared activity. We may also disclose information when required by law or when needed to protect the service and its users.

Storage and retention

Support requests submitted through the website are stored in our database with your name, email address, selected topic, message, and submission time so we can respond and maintain a support record. We retain information for as long as needed to provide the features you use, maintain service records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Some information, such as downloaded maps and imported workouts, may be stored on your device. Deleting the app removes local app data according to iOS behavior but may not delete server-side information.

Your choices and requests

• Use iPhone Settings to manage location, Health, and notification permissions.
• Use the app’s group and sharing controls to manage information shared with other members.
• To request access to or deletion of account information, email support@snowy360.com from the address associated with your account. We may ask for information needed to verify your request.

Children’s privacy

Snowy360 is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.

Security and changes

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as the app changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the date above.
